AIM BORN CHAMPIONS CHILDREN AFRICA
Transforming Lives of Vulnerable Children and Families to a Bright Shining Future.
Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) is a community development organization working towards breaking the cycle of poverty and dependency among poor families in the rural societies of Uganda and supporting children to achieve their dreams through education.

OUR STORY
Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2016 to support vulnerable, hungry children and their families in rural communities. Kibwiika Joseph, the founder of Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) assembled a dedicated team of women and men who recognized the needs of children who dropped out of school at a young age. Girls faced challenges during their menstrual cycles, which led to them leaving school.
Some women died in labor, leaving their babies orphaned. Orphans also died due to famine, poverty alleviation efforts in various families particularly affected parents, especially the widows.
In response to these circumstances, a group named Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) was formed. Orphans in different situations were supported through the provision of formula milk and nutritious food supplements for babies, delivery of basic necessities, education sponsorships and other assistance.
The ABCCA team has been able to feed hungry children and families by growing food, raising awareness about the importance of education, supporting widows and the elderly.
The development of ABCCA’s structures was inspired by the Director's late grandfather (MHSRIP) in 2013.
Between 2013 and 2016, the director, together with his grandfather supported orphans and hungry families with food, treated sick orphans, helped children attend school and provided school supplies.
Today, our dedicated team strives to provide the best possible support to the rural communities in the Eastern region of Uganda.

In the Beginning - Now.
When ABCCA was founded, we did not anticipate it would expand in this way to transform the lives of many children, families and rural communities through our broader efforts. The children who were with us at the beginning did not know that their lives and the lives of so many others would be changed forever.
In the rural communities of Uganda, our ABCCA Team found families with orphans living in the most unimaginable conditions.

These children aged 4 to 14 slept on rocky and dirt floors with no beds or blankets. Cockroaches, other insects and rats crawled over them as they slept, and their rooms turned to mud when it rained.
Their bodies were covered with rashes and many suffered from bacterial infections. Every day, these children were hungry, sat idle, were uneducated, unloved and completely hopeless. Some managed to escape to other cities and became street children because of their desperate circumstances. It was at this time that ABCCA was established to help these children.

By working with wonderful people around the world who support our mission, the children have found hope by sleeping comfortably, receiving three meals a day, accessing quality education, medical care and most importantly, experiencing love and faith.
Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) is not just a group of people working to empower the people of Uganda. ABCCA is an entire community that is driving economic and social change by promoting local ownership, sustainability, social entrepreneurship and accountability.
Our local leadership and support team is made up of the visionaries, initiators, organizers doers and advocates of Aim Born Champions Children Africa's sustainable model.
