AIM BORN CHAMPIONS CHILDREN AFRICA
Aim Born Champions Children African (ABCCA) is a community development organization working towards breaking the cycle of poverty by delivering life-changing support through clean water, healthcare, education, and sustainable community development–empowering vulnerable families with hope, dignity, and opportunity.
Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) works in partnership with Hostetter Ministries, a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to support and expand its charitable mission.
MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH.
In an effort to contribute towards reduction on maternal deaths and increase child survival, ABCCA focuses on increasing access and promoting timely uptake of health services in communities which are far from health centers.
In partnership with District Health Offices and sub district health facilities, ABCCA facilitates integrated health outreaches that focus on sensitizing communities on the importance of ante natal care, immunization, management of childhood illnesses, HIV Counseling and Testing (HCT) as well as advocating for quality health services.
Village Health Teams (VHT) are trained and facilitated to reach out to communities and families with knowledge on caring for pregnant mothers, health seeking behavior attending Ante Natal Care (ANC) up to the fourth visit, post natal and neonatal care. They support in door to door management of childhood illnesses by assessing signs and symptoms, administering first aid and making referrals of complicated cases to health facilities.
