AIM BORN CHAMPIONS CHILDREN AFRICA
Aim Born Champions Children African (ABCCA) is a community development organization working towards breaking the cycle of poverty by delivering life-changing support through clean water, healthcare, education, and sustainable community development–empowering vulnerable families with hope, dignity, and opportunity.
Aim Born Champions Children Africa (ABCCA) works in partnership with Hostetter Ministries, a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to support and expand its charitable mission.
WATER SANITATION AND HYGIENE.
Safe and readily available water is important for public health. Everyone has the right to sufficient, continuous, safe, acceptable, physically accessible and affordable water for personal and domestic use which is not the case in most parts of rural areas in Eastern Uganda.
In an attempt to reduce on water borne diseases, cost of safe water, distance to the source and insecurity involved in searching for water, ABCCA strives to install clean water sources such as water harvesting tanks in poor families, boreholes and protected wells in areas with scarcity to improve access to safe water.
ABCCA implements community led total sanitation in the operational area by triggering villages to take action as they confront the crude facts about poor hygiene, mass open defecation and its negative impacts on the entire community.
This instils a collective sense of responsibility among citizens who denounce the bad practices and draw plans to end poor sanitation and hygiene. Through these initiatives, children can grow up in healthier homes.
